Felt Pads on the Couch Legs

Now isn't that an exciting title!
Took a break from the garage since it's freezing outside.
This morning I was helping the husband clean his man-cave for his big man-party tonight...it's the NFL Draft you know!
That's as good as a holiday around this house.
Anyway, I noticed that the husband, after many months of reminding him to put felt pads under his man-couches, had not done it.
So I decided to do it for him.
BEFORE...

No, I did not he-man the couch up onto its back for the picture.
This is the ottoman...the only piece of furniture that is mine in the man-cave.
It's huge and takes up the entire center of the room and the husband hates it.
He stores it in the closet when I'm not using it.
THE TOOL
THE PROCEDURE
was a no brainer...you just peel and stick.

AFTER...

Yes, this wins the prize for the most boring AFTER picture of all time!

Any guesses as to what this is?

Here's a couple of hints...

Not only will the boys at the man-party be watching the draft, but the husband will be teaching them to make potato guns--just one of many of the husband's mad skills!
D says Evenings with your husband need not be idle times. Instead they should be productive hours when reading, studying, good music, mending, and sewing are enjoyed. You needn't always both be doing the same thing at the same time in order to enjoy companionship. If you have a common goal and if there is a good feeling between you, you can feel a bond of companionship even though you are busy at the sink in the kitchen and he is busy at the typewriter in his den... or in the husband's case, busy at the computer researching more fishing spots.
