Giving the Old "Boy's Bathroom" a Facelift...

BEFORE...
The first couple of years we lived in this house the boys shared a room right next to this bathroom--and so it became
"The Boy's Bathroom".
Which is the reason for the blue plaid shower curtain...

The blue shelf with little fish hanging from it...

and the blue-speckled clock...

THE TOOLS

THE PROCEDURE
I had planned to clean and organize a bin from back when we cleaned out the garage...but then I went to my girls fiddle concert in the park...

Is this not the GREATEST little cowboy hat ever!
Got it for 5 bucks at the grocery store!
Definitely one of my greatest finds of all time.
As the concert was winding up the Mother encouraged me to go HERE with her...

The Mother loves Kohls.
I, however, could count on one hand how many times I've been there.
She had a 15% off coupon.
I had a gift card.
I needed a couple of things for the kids.
So I went.
Updating "The Boy's Bathroom" is on my list of projects so I made my way to the bathing department (I have no idea what it's really called but you know what I mean) just to see what they had.
They had plenty.
The Mother is really good at encouraging me to spend money...
I came home and quickly removed and replaced towels, the shower curtain (actually the husband did that one), the shelf, and the clock.
I had to hurry...the husband and I had a hot date to go to dinner and

Thanks to the husband's parents for getting us tickets!
It was amazing!
We went against all our beliefs and paid for parking right by the theater.
Totally worth it.
AFTER...

I was ready to walk away from this guy...
he was on a really high shelf, but the Mother knew I should have it so she tracked down a really tall man to get it down for me.
I love it.
Thanks Mom!
D says A set of towels or terry cloth makes an attractive, absorbent, and shadow-proof bathroom curtain. Suggestions for other furnishings and clever, but economical, accent pieces and holiday decorations can be found in magazines or in homes you visit.
Or at Kohls.
