Lunch With Daryl Hoole!

(Thanks to Hank, Daryl's sweet husband for taking this picture)
Today was the big day!
I was so excited!

I took her some flowers and these cute little dutch house salt and pepper shakers.
Daryl spent several years living in Holland so I was excited to find them!
Our lunch together turned into a 4 hour visit and I enjoyed her company so much.
We talked about all kinds of homemaking things--family, children, organizing, the important role that mothers have in the home, religion, managing our time, church service, and the list goes on.

For lunch she made a Thai Chicken dish she learned to make while living in Asia a few years ago. It was delicious and I'll be making that same dish for my family next Sunday!
Daryl took me on an a tour of her entire house.
She has a lovely home and I loved the way she decorated with items that represented her family and various things that were meaningful to them.
Of course, there was a place for everything and everything in its place! Her home was a beautiful house of order and I loved being able to witness first hand all of the practices she's taught me through her books!
Speaking of her books, she signed all of my books and gave me one I didn't have:
The Ultimate Career
The Art of Homemaking For Today
along with her CD
Little Things That Can Make a Big Difference

If you are interested in either of these TOOLS you can purchase them HERE
I've already started reading The Ultimate Career and it is great! If you've liked my quotes from D throughout the past year you will LOVE this book.
It was an afternoon I'll always treasure and I think I'll invite her over to my house for lunch later this year!
