Not Julie & Julia but Daryl & Becky!
My dear friend D wrote an article about us in the Meridian Magazine!
You are officially famous! Awesome...I've always wanted to be related to someone rich and famous! That you are!!! So proud to be your sister! I love you!
I needed this article this morning to get me going. I am inspired by the projects you have finished. So off the computer I go and the first project will be...getting everyone dressed this morning and the living room organized. Thank you.
I "found" Daryl about 30 some years ago and she totally inspired me to learn new skills as a mother and homemaker. I'm in a new phase of life (grandmother of 14, babysit 2 of them, and in the process of moving to China at the same time!). I am overwhelmed but reading Daryl's article and finding your blog is reminding me of all that Daryl has written about in her books, which I still have on my shelf . Yes, I need to reread them again. Congratulations on your new babe, I'm sure she is beautiful. I laughed when you sister wrote that you are rich and famous. My daughter is also "rich and famous" she has a blog called www.mylitter.com and was recently on TLC on Extreme Couponing. She, too, is an amazing lady. Teresa Davis P.S. You are so fortunate to have met one of my real heroes. I doubt I will ever have that privilege.
I found your blog today through the link in Daryl's article in Meridian Magazine. I am so glad that I took time to look through what you have set out to do and become. So inspiring. I will follow along and try to be more disciplined. With 5 children --I (and my family) will surely be blessed. Thank-you for what you are sharing and congratulations on your newest arrival!

I, too, found your blog as I read Daryl's article. Our Homemaking Leader in Relief Society 36 years ago introduced me to Daryl's book. I love how you have used her inspiration.
In your Jan 4, 2010 post, you share a quote on attitude from Rhea Gardner. If you haven't found out who she was, I can tell you. She was my mother's aunt and worked for the Utah State Extension Agency for years and years. She was well known around the state for her homemaking skills and taught many classes through the Extension Agency. At one time she even had a teaching program on the local public TV station. She passed away in the 70's, definitely attitude #3.

I found your blog thru Daryl Hoole's article on Meridian Magazine, and over the last few days have read your whole blog and am positively amazed that you could accomplish so much with a large family to cook and clean and care for, and being pregnant 6 or 7 of those months, and sick, etc. Your "Sweet Bread" sounded good so I copied the recipe and made the bread today. Only I named it Becky Beck's Berry Bread because I like the sound of it. :-) I had to improvise with some frozen fruit (not just berries) I was planning to make smoothies with, but it still turned out yummy. Thanks for sharing the recipe. And thanks for sharing all you did. Congratulations on your newest Baby Beck!
