Homemade Fabric Softener

The Mother-in-Law gave me the recipe for homemade fabric softener so I gave it a try.

BEFORE...

THE TOOLS
THE PROCEDURE
I just followed the recipe
2 cups vinegar
2 cups cheap hair conditioner
6 cups water

AFTER
THE RESULT
It worked great as far as no static cling :) however the best part of fabric softener is the smell and unfortunately there was none once the laundry was dried. I'm going to buy more conditioner and see if adding a little more will give it the smell I so love :)

D says Start the laundry first thing in the morning. Switch the load to the dryer. Or put a load in the washer before you go to bed and then switch it in the morning. Either way, the clothes will be ready to fold upon your return home.

  1. I wonder if you would use a more smelly conditioner. Like Suave Lavender? Do you make your own Laundry detergent as well?

  2. Definitely worth checking this out. We might even recommend it to our costumers that are always demanding from us recipes for green cleaning solutions. We are curious about whether you make your own Laundry detergent as well.
